It was a historic day for the Academy at Palumbo as our student-athletes took on the prestigious Penn Relays, setting records and defying the odds.
Historic 4x100m Final Berth
For the first time in school history, our girls’ 4x100m team has advanced to a final! Out of 500 competing teams, Palumbo emerged as one of the top 36, qualifying for the Northeast Final. This rare feat places them among the elite programs in the region.
Grit in the 4x400m
Despite an injury to a key starter, our girls showed incredible resilience by taking 2nd Place in the Public League 4x400m. Even with an alternate, they proved why they hold the fastest time in the league at full strength.
The Team
Huge congratulations to our standout athletes: Taiylor Johnson, Daijah Lopez, Zeinab Doumbia, Harrisa Banto, and Kiyah Connor (currently on IR).
Go Griffins! Be sure to congratulate these athletes for representing Palumbo on the national stage!
