The Academy at Palumbo Scrabble Team had a fantastic showing at the Philadelphia  League Scrabble Tournament!

11th Grade student Nerissa Kuan placed 3nd in the city(!) with her individual scores totaled from all four tournaments. She also won 1st place for Most Points for a Single Word Play – 88 points for the word “Planers!”

And in the Team Category,  the Palumbo Team took home the trophy for 2nd Place! All members – Nerissa Kuan, Aryanna Simmons, Sophia Chow, Thanhvan (Evan) Hyunh, Naydelyne Huerta-Zamacona, and Wendy Flores-Lopez –  contributed to the 2nd place overall finish! A group effort!
