Palumbo Chess takes first place at Checkmate Violence Tournament

This weekend The Palumbo Chess Team took first place at the Checkmate Violence tournament! Also, Andy N. took 1st place in the unrated section and Linda Z. won 3rd place in the K-12 Open!

Robogriffins

Palumbo’s Robotics Team (the Robogriffins) participated in the First Tech Challenge Philadelphia Qualifier. This year Palumbo finally took first place! With the win the team is eligible to compete in states at the end of February.

This program is one that attempts to help bridge the gender gap in the tech world. These girls are also enrolled in AP Computer Science Principles or Computer Science at The Academy at Palumbo.
